Paradosis is an ancient greek word meaning : "teaching based on tradition". For this is our emblematic item, we wanted to add an extra kick of traditonnal spirit for this limited edition : the Tartant fabric happened to be the obvious ingredient. Tartan goes back to the pre- medieval times and this particular technique of assembling alternating bands of coloured threads has even been found in China. The word "Tartan" could come from the french word tartarin meaning "Tartar cloth", bringing the Mongol and Turkic elements to the mix, or from the scottish gaelic word tarsainn meaning "accross". In more than one way Tartan fabric federates many distinctive cultures across ages and beyond our sight. If wearing Tartan used to be the prerogative of warriors, there something soothing, comforting, elegant and strong about it.
